Summited via the northeast face accessed from Emigrant Gulch. Mostly clear of snow, but still just enough to Glissade down from the east ridge. Be careful if approaching from Emigrant Gulch as there is a miner with a gun that will try to chase you off his "claim." Just bushwack around his little (Show More)
Summited via the northeast face accessed from Emigrant Gulch. Mostly clear of snow, but still just enough to Glissade down from the east ridge. Be careful if approaching from Emigrant Gulch as there is a miner with a gun that will try to chase you off his "claim." Just bushwack around his little operation to avoid this, or go the standard route from the west.
The trail was a bit wet after the latest snow. I gave up on the loop because of snow. Should be in good shape once we have a few dry days.

Off the back, over Peak 11,840' and a butt-clenching 3-stage rappel. WAY more snow than we expected, and we had the gear. Partners made a good run at Mount Owen before we bailed to Teton Glacier.
